A Public Meeting of the Sharon Historical Commission and Sharon Historic District Commission was held at 7:30 PM in the Sharon High School Library with Chairperson Shirley Schofield, Vice-Chairperson Gordon Hughes, Member David Martin, Member Robert Young, Member Deborah Pitman, Alternate Brent Gundlah and Alternate Reese Schroeder in attendance.
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 PM.
Warrant Articles for Town Meeting
Chairperson Schofield welcomed all with a brief introduction. Member Young presented the warrant articles with background. Much discussion ensued with support for the Third Historic District expressed by Jane Desberg from the Sharon Housing Authority. Selectman Roach expressed support for the Third Historic District from a majority of the Selectmen. George Bailey, Metropolitan Area Planning Council Representative stated that the article regarding the Third Historic District “brings focus” to the future use of the Wilbur School.

VOTED: (Young/Martin) Voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:25 PM.
